Aftermarket Headlights/Taillights
There are few choices for taillights. What I want really is some circular LED ones. I dont think you can really improve on the headlights of our cars. I would think any aftermarket headlight for our cars would probably get screwed over with ugly designs.
I absolutely think the xA needs aftermarket lights. I hate the headlight design so much—the headlamp is huge and ugly, and the turn signal pod with the orange insert is undesirable. If only they had an LED/angel eye ring and some reflectors built for LEDs. . . . I'd pay $600 for 'em, even.

As much as I'd love a set of HID projector headlights, I still voted no for this poll....
I can't stand Altezza-style tail lights or clear tail lights b/c they 're all poorly made and reduce visibility/performance of the tail lights; also, they look like utter crap, but I accept that appearance is based entirely on personal tastes. In general, any aftermarket tail lights and head lights are poorly made compared to there OEM counterparts, but of course it doesn't stop people from sacrificing safety for aesthetics.
Bottom line, there are very, very few quality lighting products out there that are better, or at the very least as good as the factory lighting. Those parts that are equal to or better than are fairly expensive. People are usually left with 2 options: a) a cheap aftermarket replacement that sacrifices visibility for looks, and usually made of cheap materials with poor quality control; or b) a quality replacement that may perform well and look good but will alienate a lot of their target consumers b/c they don't want to drop $1K on a pair of headlights when they could get wheels/tires, coilovers, etc.
So while I'd love some options for headlights for my xA, realistically I don't see anyone making a product I can afford that would work well.

reaubideux brings up a good point. Aftermarket lamps are cheap, probably don't hold up very long or very well, and they sacrifice practicality and safety for style and umf.
But then again, aren't most aftermarket parts like that? I would like to know how many of the aftermarket body kits you see on Scions actually provide better aerodynamics; speaking of which, when can we get functional front air dams and spoilers for our xAs? :O
The thing is, I would personally prefer to just go the artistic route for my car on some features, headlamps included. Someone like me, I'm not very good at custom stuff, and I don't really have the tools or cash to experiment. . . . Though Eightball's project looks tasty enough to try. :D
