today i took my stock antanna and cut it off at the base , then i cut off the plastic coating with a razor then i pulled off the top part of the antanna and slipped it over the bottom and made it the new top, woked pretty well . same reception and it looks like 100 times better and it was free and took all 20 min.

I did it in like 10 minutes: cut and super glue, done.
