Can you do the "breaking method" on it, or would it be better to do the oven method? Can you clear the tail lights too?

 

i think it'd be better to do the oven method. my friends just did my headlights. i dunno about the tail lights tho

You cant take apart the tail lights. The red plastic is fused to the surrounding black plastic. I know because I had a spare set and it was not worth trying to separate the 2. Meaning I cracked 1 trying to separate them.

 

Are you trying to remove moisture? Drill a very small in the bottom for ventilation that vents inside the car or two holes and blow some dry air through it.

You REALLY got to be careful no matter how you heat up the headlights. I had some one do them. One they cracked a small spot that only I and some few would notice, on the other side he did not seal it back correctly and I got crazy condensation.

So I had to re seal it by using the oven myself. I ended up melting a small bit of the top part and now it's very noticeable. I eventually need to buy another headlight assembly. Stock it's $210. So be VERY careful no matter what.

 

but clear corners do look good, but be very careful and patient.

So I Clear Cornered my headlights.... and Yeah,Mightygnu, they look awesome. Now... can anyone tell me can you clear coner the Tail Lights?

 

Not that I am aware of. It's a huge job and the red piece is on there really good. I suggest you look into the JDM version that came out not to long ago. I am gonna get it. It's about $350

 

Yeah... i being cheap, but if i have to save for them... i guess i should.

True........... I would rather have the $$ to have these things doen for me ..... Still need to replace my headlight (some day)...... but wow cleared looks so great

 

the only thing that's keeping me from doing it myself is taking off the bumper just to get to the bottom screw of the headlights. most likely i'll find someone else to do it.

 

Its worth it though. pix soon. just been lazy.
