I took a friends mirror covers off and tested them, they fit exactly.

I'm thinking about getting the carbon fiber mirror covers for my xA. Does the darker color look okay?

So far, I think you should keep your stock white ones but post up some more pics at an angle and a full side view with the carbon covers on. Could get a better look at them and the car that way.

I think some are confused.. I do NOT have the carbon fiber covers yet, the dark colored ones are from a friends flint mica tC. I just wanted to make sure the tC side covers actually fit an xA

 

lol, no not confused I wanna see black on both sides so I can get an idea of what the CF ones might look like on my car

you know... if i could get a set of black covers for my xa at a good price i'd pick up a pair. any suggestions where?

 

I personally like the look of a dark side-mirror against the PW color. It blends in nicely with the side windows/tint , plus the turn-signal LED on the mirror pops-out more on the mirror.. which looks cool.

I just wish Toyota would not have made the side mirrors so bulky to begin with - which really jacks up the drag coefficent of our rides -

 

I think the CF covers will look great with Polar White.

Did you clear your headlights, or are they JDM headlights?From those pics, I can't tell if there are clear lenses over the front marker lights, or not.

Yesterday, I ordered a set of the CF Side Mirror Covers for my xA.

They're not cheap! Almost $200 for the pair.

Not in stock at the moment, and I'll have to drive to Long Beach to pick them up when they come in.

For that kind of $, I'd rather get a low-profile- way more aero carbon side mirror pair! Sure, it won't have a turn signal LED on it, but it would save you $ on gas + you'd still have your stock side mirrors to keep- put on later, or sell.

 

If carbon fiber POWER side mirrors (like OEM) were available, I'd pay whatever they cost.

I can't even get any CF power mirrors for my S2000. After 5 years of ownership, I still have the OEM side mirrors on that car, too.

I always use the passenger side power mirror if I have to park next to a curb. That way I can park close, and not worry about scratching the rims.

$189 without shipping is too much, IMO- but what are the alternatives? I think these are the only ones available now.

Hey, guys- LISTEN UP!!!

THE TC CARBON FIBER MIRROR COVERS DO NOT FIT THE xA.

I received the mirror covers on Thursday and sent them back on Friday.

They are about 1/4 inch too small to fit on the xA.

I don't know how the OP got the black covers to fit. I think he removed his white one and put on the black one. The CF covers are supposed to fit OVER the OEM covers, so that may be the difference.
