Craaaaaasshhhhhh 04 BSP xa
Hey I was currently in an accident with my 04 bsp xa. The front is wrecked and I they said there was frame damage too. Went to the body shop and they quoted me 8k to fix it. Im a student with little funds so I was wondering if you guys knew anywhere that sold parts for really really cheap, or if any of u guys were upgrading your parts I would be willing to buy.

your insurance should cover all but your deductible. even with a $1000 deductible by the time you buy used parts and get them shipped to you, it's just easier to have the body shop deal with it.
Make sure to get 3 or 4 different quotes. In one day for a minor quarter panel repair, I got 4 very different estimates, as low as $600 (local well liked shop) and as high as $3000 (a dealership) The other two estimates were around $1000.

Good Luck....best bet on parts will be finding other wrecked cars. I recommend just selling it for what you can get and starting over at 8K to repair...thats most of what it is worth, right? I hope you didn't owe a lot on it.
Usually when there's frame damage, you walk away. That could mess so much stuff up that you don't know about. Have a friend that got into an accident, told them whatever the cost fix it, (wasn't a Scion), then the guy called back and said there's bad news, the frame is bent, so my friend said it's totaled, don't want it.
Ouch!
I wouldn't junk it though. You've already bought the car, why eat the price difference? After it's fixed, it'll run like normal. You won't be able to sell it for as much in a few years, but you'll lose MORE if you want to walk away from this now and get something else.

If there is frame damage you could end up with a car that always wanders, won't adjust on an alignment rack right and wears tires badly not to mention chances of other things wearing out quickly or breaking due to mis-alignment.
If it's very VERY slightly off you might get away with driving it but otherwise you have problems.
at $8000 you are kind of on the line between investing and getting a new one-it's really up to what you want but throwing parts and money at the damaged one of it's comprimised at that level you might end in a worse spot where you have spent the money and end up having to add more and more...
