What are you looking to do with it?

There are a lot of different folks here that have gone in a lot of different directions with their egg....

Well on a side note... You should check out ScinergyPA as a club to join. We can help you get your car "decked out" and we're some cool people as well. I know, this is a shamelss club plug but I really wanna help somebody get an xA rockin. We also don't have any xAs in the club yet....

You can PM me for more information or check out www.scinergyie.com to get an idea what the clubs all about!

Hmmmm, if you want to hold off on the rims, then I'd start with interior. Deaden the innards! You can't believe how much different the car is with some sound deadener in it.

Make it liveable, then get fancy.

OK peruzzi, this means war... I was reeling him in nice and slow and you cut my line...

Des, you have hooked up with a good club there. And peruzzi Scion is a huge supporter of Scions in general. The best thing you can do is go to meets and see what you like. Folks are always glad to show off.

Well he is more than welcome to also Join NRG. Thats the beauty of Scinergy. We work together with all the clubs and arent exclusive. I would Join NRG but I've already ruffled enough feathers around here with them. I just got back on their good side...I think.

You can't do everything and anything with your car... okay, well, let me rephrase that. You shouldn't do anything and everything with your car.

Y ou have to be more specific. Do you want an auto-x, a show car, a "performance" car...? In general, DON'T mix the three.

Find out what you want to do with your car, then do it. Read stuff on this forum to see what you want to do. You can literally go back a couple of years to see what people have done.

If you don't want to do that, join xatuner.com... it's more xA specific. If you can let us know what you are looking for, people here can help you find it!

what's an auto-x...i guess i would have to say a show car...i'm a female and i don't know much about performance. it costs a good buck to make modifications to your car doesn't it? So i guess a show car, what can i do

Yeah its hard to tell people how to modify their car. It should really be a personal thing. You should be able to look at a lot of other modified xAs and then look at your stock ride and say..."Yeah, thats what I wanna do" Then you get started modifying after youve prioritized whats most important for you first to last...

Like I said, if you need help we should get together and I can show you some things and ideas from my car as well and guide you in the right direction...

Remember, there are classified ads here that might have some slightly used stuff to get you started....

I'd trust the folks here before I'd trust ebay.

^^^ Agreed with all of those comments.

It may benefit you to join xatuner.com. The site is xA-oriented. (I'd hate to say xA-only because I don't want to exclude the "others.") The people there are really nice and friendly. And we don't get trash from xB and tC people there...

If you want a "show" car, then mod your car that way. Think about what it'll take to get a nice show-looking car. Window tints, body kit, lowering springs, and rims are all pretty good starters. Down the line you might want HID headlights, a sunroof, a new exhaust pipe for the looks, DVD player, headrest monitors, etc.

Then you might jump into some of the "comfort" mods. What most people are doing is Koni Yellows or Monroe Sensa-Tracs to smooth out the ride a little bit... it'll make it less bumpy. Some owners have put extra cushion in their seats. Grounding kits smooth out the idle... a LITTLE bit.

Oooooohhh... modding is soooo fun!
