arg... if u were in Cali I'd pretty much give them away (that cheap) - I have a brand new set and don't have a Scion anymore.

I have a 06 not a 05 but the installation should be just about the same. For my install, I would have to say it was really easy. The lights went right in. The only hard part was installing the relay. My hands are a little big to easily do that, but with enough patience it popped right into place. I think I spent about 1 hour to do the install and part of that time was looking for the keys to the shed to find some ramps to raise the front up a little. There is a pdf on trdsparks with all the instructions on how to install if you want to see the steps involved. http://www.trdsparks.com/install/81025-52130inst.pdf

I never had to take my dash off to install the switch. Just pop off the little door for the fuse box and you can easily reach in and pop the blank switch cover off. If you can change a fuse, you can install the switch. As for the relay it was not hard to find the correct spot, just to get the part angled to slip it in was the challenge. Since it is behind the panel. Just be calm and remember threatening the car will not help.

Does anyone know if a pair of Hella Micro De fog lights will bolt up to existing factory area(at bumper fog local), or will it need a special modification ?
Any info. would be much appreciated.

Bolt??? The fogs are sandwiched into the opening in the bumper. THe fogs come with a plate you place on the front, then you weave the lamp into that and use 3 philp head screws to sandwich the thing into the bumper opening.

I had two egg shaped fogs under my bumper, but I snapped them off on a steep driveway in va beach a year ago.

Its easy, just remove the bumper, install lights, put bumper back on, install relay, switch and plug in harness and bolt the ground lug.

Let me get this straight.
I absolutely have to use the stock OEM Fog Lights in the area where the fogs go in the lower bumper.. no if/ands/ or butts??

What if I got the OEM knock out cover, and brackets ? Would I then be able to use those on a pair of Hella Micro's ? Does the fog light housing itself NEED to have the screw holes on the sides to then be able to screw into the bracket, etc.??

In other words, will I be able to use my Hella Micro's (if so, what is the process) , or am I screwed.. and have to absolutely buy the OEM Fog Lights??

I'm sure you can put aftermarket fogs in the bumper area but then you're going to have to do fabrication and special mounting...

OEM mounts are designed specifically for the OEM fogs...

Also if you have a 06 xA the fogs are designed at a slight angle also in the bumper fog area...

Yeah, I had 2 different pair of aftermarket Fogs. Neither worked out well and bit the bullet and got the OEM ones.

They sure knew what they were doing when they designed them.
