think you'll have to modify it some as the 04/05 do fit the 06 with modification.

 

hmmm im really interested in fixin up my xa, i have some many questions, but ive never seen the 04 stock xa grill wit ist emblem do they make the front emblems to fit the 04 american grills? or do they modify it to fit, and does it look clean?

 

not sure since i have an 06 but i do like the looks of the ist emblem for the 04/05 ist. you can check out www.team-ist.net for some help too. many xa owners are there.

 

it will not fit, the only way to make it work is to cut the taps on the bottom but then it will be loose
the US xa grill is different from the japanese IST grille, if you want to get the "I" you have to buy the grille as well

since you have the 06 you can just replace the scion logo for the front grille to the IST one. no need to buy the whole grille

 

yeah, but i have an 04 xa. im i best off just buying the sports grille or can i buy the 04 ist emblem and modify to put it on my 04 scion xa grille? the thing is that ive never seen an 04 xa wit the ist emblem on the stock american grille.

 

you CAN'T add the "I" to the US xa grille unless you do some heavy mod even then it might not look right.

just buy this grille (JDM version)

I did this a while back with the JDM sport grille (original not ebay)i took the tabs on the back cut them and melt them together on the grille

 

thats a nice grille. whats the difference with the sports grille from ebay, will it still fit my 04 xa??

 

ebay is fiberglass and yes it would still fit but don't know how well
