Does anyone know where you can get wholesale or discounted kenstyle parts for the XA?

 

http://www.optionwagon.com/store/ind...cPath=21_55_63 seems to have the body kit for $1,200. You need to recall this things are shipped from Japan, so you aint going to find them real cheap. http://scionsport.com/store/product_...21507d69320a1a has the same kit for $1,275. So if you want it cheap, I think you need to look for a used one.

 

On a related note, I've been keeping an eye open for just the Kenstyle grille (I like the rest of the body kit, but only want the front grille) but the best price I've seen is right around $300 I believe... Does that sound reasonable?

The bumpers are very nice, but I think the spoiler is cool as it tilts at an angle; looking at the car on the side is very pretty.

 

Does the kit include the spoiler?
Where did you find the grill being sold separately ?
How much for spoiler only?

 

Exactly my question too. The day she got her xA, we drove back and saw this big ad board on the freeway that shows the yellow xA with the tilted spoiler (and extreme drop). She then asked me 2 questions: Why can't I ge a yellow and how come the spoiler looks different?

 

if it was yellow, it might have been lj garcia's xA....i don't think that has a kenstyle kit on it. i think it was a custom kit.

 

We have a billboard like that around the corner from my dealership. I keep waiting for someone to come in and ask for yellow!!

 

Hmm could be. I thought my wife told me about something the dealer said yellow is available on 06 xA...hmm, better check with her again tonight.

 

Yah that Yellow xA is most likely Lj's widebody xA...it's a custom paint job and kit. The body kit is now sold to the general public. Personally the design is tooo wild and i don't like it. I've also seen it in person a couple times. But hey..Props to Lj and Scion for building that to bring attention to the xA.

the kenstyle kit is not a direct bolt on. The back has to be modified. We have a kit on our showcar. Yes, LJ's car was stolen and found later.

I saw the kit for sale on ScionFX, and they say they have the grille for sale solo for $345, but that seems steep...

The grille for the RS xA looks similar to the Kenstyle one, but I don't like it quite as much. Just out of curiosity though, how much is that one? Anyone know?

just recieved a new lip from these guys...and like wow the quality is good....

Yeah the ken style is not a direct bolt on, but neither are most body kits....there is a fair amount of modifications to get the fit right....in the case of the back lip for the Ken Style, It is held on buy a generous amout of 3m double sided tape..I had to use 5 layers of it and then the sides are screwed to the inside of the rear wheel wells for a tighter secure fit.

IMHO, the ken style kit is the best looking kit for the xA...but some may not agree, but...just for the simple fact that we look at it everytime we log on to this part of Scion Life and the first xA you see is the orange lowered xA with the"Ken Style kit". No wonder we all want that look, when we look at our xA's....

Hint...there's already 2 orange ones in Southern cali.....
