Well, the first time around, I made a mess that I had to clean up with the purchase of a new lens.

Messed up... adhesive got on the inside of the lens, tried wiping it off with a little acetone, and the lens melted.

now we gotta remove your side marker and fill in the indentation

 

two things always watch out for when doing this mod, condensation and fingerprints. I did this mod on my 02 EJ25 when i had it and turned out quite well. Con grats on the mod, and your bravery doing it. Oem headlamps are'nt cheap.

 

I had been wanting to do it for a while, and it was fairly spur of the moment when I decided I wanted to do it.

I have no regrets, and it turned out fairly well for a first try. I'm going to give it another shot when my new lenses come in.

No fog as of yet. Doesn't really matter too much though, I'm taking them apart and re-doing them when my lenses come in.

Looks good!!! What paint did you use?

 

Duplicolor filler primer and Duplicolor flat black wheel paint.

I've used the same combo on my steelies and on the wheels I had on my Trooper. The paint on the driver's side has crevices in it though, so I'm going to sand, primer, and repaint. Not sure why it cracked... either didn't shake the cans enough or who knows.

 

You know the saying.... Shake you can til your ***** rattle.
