Default Question about the moonroof in RS1 and RS2

Hey you RS1 and RS2 owners. I was just wondering where you guys' moonroof tilt/open button is. (Like when you want to open the roof, you have to reach where to open it?) Is the button located near the ceiling or near all the roll-down windows switches?

I have an aftermarket moonroof and want to rewire the button to a more convenient location. I have to reach up to the roof to open it. I want to put it near the windows switches... or wire it to the lock/unlock (door) switch... or install a new switch and put it somewhere else.

Anyways... back to the original question. Where is the moonroof button located?

I belive it is located next to the stock fog light switch ( the 3 little pop out tabs to the left of the stearing wheel under the dash). I dont own a rs1 so i dont know for a fact but this is my guess or where i personally would put the switch(as a dealer). I kinda like the location you have it myself.

And fyi the RS2 did not come with a sunroof.

I've gotten used to where it is... but I hate reaching up there to open the roof. I personally think it'd be more convenient near all of the other window switches.

And I knew that about the RS2... from pictures. I haven't seen one myself. I wasn't thinking about it when I typed up the topic.

Moonroof button is located on the driver's side of the overhead light. Passenger side of the overhead light has the switch for the light to be off, on, door.

yeah... the moonroof has the extra nice feature of automatic open/close for both tilt and slide... meaning you can touch the button and hold it for a split sec, and it will automatically open or close in the specified direction. this way you dont have to sit there holding on the button while youre driving- very nice!

oh yeah, and its just one rocker button, its tilt open/slide closed for the front end of the switch and tilt close/ slide open for the other end of the switch.
