I was told by Yakima that they don't have a rack to fit the 2006 xa. I'm really in need of a rack and was hoping if someone could tell if the 2005 will fit a 2006.

Any help would be appreciated

I appreciate the response but I know they make one for the 2005. They say it won't fit a 2006. Thats the problem I'm having.

 

HMM.... ILL LOOK INTO IT FOR YOU.. I REALLY DO THINK IT WILL FIT.. MY GF HAS A XA AND I AM GOING TO GET TO THE BOTTOM OF THIS BECAUSE I WANT HER TO HAVE ONE ..

 

Ok, after many calls to Scion and my dealer I found that the roof and doors are identical between the 05 and 06 so the rack will fit. Yakima will not guarantee a 05 model rack on an 06 because they have not had time to fit and test it. I told them they were the same but they have to verify this through their fit team. They will then update the application to include the 06. Unfortunately I cannot wait for them to get around to it.

I ordered the rack and I'll let you all know for sure that it fits.

 

IM SURE IT WILL.. I SOLD YAKIMA RACKS FOR 5 YEARS... PRETTY FAMILIAR WITH THE WAY THERE WORK.. HOPE IT ALL WORKS OUT FOR YOU..

 

Well, I recieved the rack from Yakima and it fits like a glove. Very easy intall and doesn't look bad either. I won't leave it on all the and it should be a few minutes to put it on and take it off. So, anyone looking for a Yak Rack for your 06 just order the 05 and it fits great!

 

SWEET! A BASKET WILL LOOK REALLY GOOD...
