So I want to get roof racks for my 2006 black scion xA, but I have no idea what to look for. How many inches do the racks need to be? From what I've seen online they range from about 46"-50" or so. What kind of racks do you have? Do I need to get q towers as well? As much information as you can give me is greatly appreciated!

 

Are you planning on buying it used or new? This info is for Yakima racks as I'm not too family with Thule or any others.

If used, you will need to buy the right Q clips for the XA, and the crossbar size isn't too important as our cars use the smallest size (48"). You can always cut them to the right size if they're too long.

If new, you will need the Crossbars, Q towers with Q clips, and the accessories (Bike rails, ski rack, wind fairing etc.)
