what's that silver bar peaking through the lower grill do?


it bothers me....i was thinking of painting it.

anyone know if it's safe to paint?

 

I hate the fact that it comes crooked looking, it makes other people think somethings not right with the car, when I first noticed that I was going to go to the dealer as I parked to get some food there was another xa in the lot and it had the same thing so I went back home

my xb has it and it sticks out like a soar thumb behind those black grills...some flat black paint would fix it

 

Covering that line was the very first thing I did to my xB. The easiest and best solution I found was black flex tubing. Much easier than painting and can be done in just a few minutes.

the plastic flex tubing will allow that AC tube to "breathe" and you wont have any AC problems. doesnt bother me any but now i need to see a pic and see if its worth the hassle of doing such mod

look under your hood you should have some near the back from where the factory put it on so it doesn't hit the brake lines.

 

I changed out the lower plastic for stainless mesh. The bar is unnoticable now....

 

it's butt ugly.
painted it flat black whan i had the bumper off.
looks great now.

it bends really easily and it's kind of mounted on a slant, i tihnk. so it's no surpirse that it looks broken.
