I did not get a owners manual with my Scion XA. Sometimes when I try to use the cd player it comes up with error 4 or error 3. What do these mean and how do I clear them to use the cd player? I usually wait a couple of days and then it goes back to normal but it is very frustrating. Any help would be appreciated.

Seriously Don, the error codes were pretty much the beginning of the end for the radio, you might want to start cruising the want ad section for a replacement. I have a base 09 in my 05 xA and it just slid right in the dash.

There was never ant discussion on how to clear codes that I have ever seen, sorry.

 

Yeah I've heard the first radios had a lot of problems with them.
I have an 04 as well and I have a CD stuck in the head unit :/

Best solution is to get a radio from a newer model year Scion (xA, xB, tC, xD, any will work) and just replace your radio.

 

it just started happening to me as well. gonna swap with an ipod unit.

 

Does anyone have a good suggestions on good cd players that will work in my 2006 scion Xa? My cd player doesn't work. Every time I put a cd in it gives me an error 1 message. So i'm looking to replace.
