Default 06 Xa clear corners?

I was wondering if anyone out there has tried knocking out the orange part of the blinker on the 06 XA headlights like people do on the Xb's. I know the headlights are made very differently but I've inspected my headlights pretty well and it seems as if it might work in a similar way.

If you dont know what im talking about check this out, https://www.scionlife.com/forums/vie...=clear+corners

If no ones tried it, does anyone have an 06 Xa headlight for sale for cheap? I really want to give this a shot but I'm definitely not willing to destroy my headlight trying to find out because a new one costs way to much.

Also, I know about the oven method and even though its been done before and has worked fine, Im just not ok with putting my headlights in my oven. Just seems like too much room for error there. Sorry if that has been discussed before, I searched and came up with nothing.

i think you have to "bake" the 2006 xa headlamps to get that orange part out... meaning put it in the oven and melt it just enough to pull it out

+1 oldmanatee.....the absolute best solution would be to find one at a junkyard that was already busted or cracked and they'll probably let you dig into it without buying it.

Yea that was my first thought actually. I called all my local junk yards last week and none of them had anything. If no one on the board pulls through with some info or a cheap headlight I'm just gonna have to keep trying the junk yards.

The '06 xA amber piece is just held in there I believe. Bake it to remove the lens, take the orange piece out, and quickly seal everything back up ASAP.

I like the idea of checking the junkyard out. That reminds me... I've gotta take a trip to the junkyard today.

Do you really need one? I'll see what I can find for you the next time I go... I actually ended up going to the wrong address, since it gave me the wrong address.

Finally found the place a half-hour after it closed. Oh well, found some cool roads though!

I considered the whole baking them idea but I just dont want to have to do that because it just feels dangerous. But it will be my last resort. While your at that junk yard could you check for a headlight? Id be willing to buy it off of you, broken or not. As long as the corner is still in tact.

Well, I'm probably going to head back up there on Friday, if I have time. I'll let you know. ;)

I was kidding about the fender, I'm letting the insurance company worry with it.

Well, I've done my own repairs before for cheaper than my deductable. Not always a bad thing...

What happened to your fender?
