Default 2006 Scion xA Radio Install Guide?

I tried searching and found nothing of the sort I need help getting the front panels off and the repair guide on the site is for 2004. My 2006 has a different interior. How do I get the panels off without breaking anything?

Does anyone have a 2006 repair manual? Surely someone has done this.

Piece. Of. Cake. You'll need a Phillips screwdriver.

Start with gently popping off the left and right trim pieces that line both sides of the HVAC and storage compartments. In my car, these are a smooth, light grey plastic the same color as the center vent surrounds. Once you have those off, observe the mechanism used to attach these to the dash. You'll notice that you can remove them easily by gently compressing the trim in on itself (squeezing it), which applies to a good deal of the trim in the car. Now you'll have access to all of the screws for the components of the center of the dash if you need to remove them.

You can remove the HVAC unit if you want--it'll probably make it easier to work on the wiring. You'll need to pop off the three control ***** and get those screws if you do that.

Now, it's really easy to remove the trim around the stereo and center vents. Using both hands, cup the outside of each vent in your palm and gently push your palms together while coercing the trim toward you. It should pop right out. The stereo is held in by four screws.

Not all of the screws are the same, so you'll want to keep track of them. Have fun!

Thank you. I have finished the install now. I just always get worried I'll break something by approaching it the wrong way.

Can anyone help me with the cleanup. I messed up the vent so I was taking it off to fix that. The radio is still the same. I can't get the damn thing back together. That whole panel refuses to go back into place. Can anyone help?

Not the vent but the actual dash I took out. I took off the two screws behind the dials off and the two top ones under the grey side panels. It's that part I can't get back on. I just push and reposition over and over but it wont go back into place
