2006 xA Paint
I bought a new '06 xA two weeks ago, and I got a scratch on the rear driver side door. The scratch looks like it went through the gelcoat and a thin layer of the actual paint. Rather than hunting down the culprit, I went looking for replacement paint.
I found the 2005 xA paint and gelcoat. My question is there a difference in the paint mixture on the '05 and '06 xA models? The color is Silver Streak Mica. Thank you.

As long as your car is Silver Streak Mica and the paint is Silver Streak Mica I don't see why there would be a problem with the paint matching. What you can do is find a spot that would not be noticed and do a color test.
It suck to know that you have a scratch on your new car. I already have two door dents on my driver side doors and It hurts to know that my 3 month old car already has some damage to it.

Yes. I have the paint available in applicator pens (metallic paint and gecloat) with a rubbing compound to remove excess paint.
It says I should allow several days for the paint to fully dry before getting it exposed to rain or getting it washed.
