3rd gen iPod Nano Backlight Stays on
I just purchased a new iPod Nano (3rd generation) and the first thing I did after getting some music on it was plug it into my Xa. Unlike my old iPod the backlight on my new iPod stays on constantly. With my old one it would turn off after a few seconds. I even tried using the iPod's settings menu to turn off the backlight completely. When I plugged it in again, the backlight came on and stayed on (Unplugging turned it back off, of course) I can change the brightness prior to plugging in my iPod, but this is annoying. I contacted Apple and they want me to talk to my Scion dealer and go to an Apple store.
Is anyone else having this problem?
Is anyone NOT having this problem?
If you are having this problem, please contact Apple so they might fix it with the next firmware update.

1: congrats on the new nano
2: this is why i wanted to wait until someone else got one.
3: i don't think there's anything wrong with the ipod. i think that the new ipod software isn't completely compatible with the stock head unit.

I would suggest working with both Apple and Scion in regards to this. Maybe one of them will come up with a solution. I don't know if the head unit can have its firmware updated or not, but the iPod obviously can.
