Default ADDED GREEN GAUGE LEDs

Today I swapped green LEDs from the stock orange and red in the XA's gauge cluster thanx to the help of GARAGE 1217. Jeremy was a lotta help with the tech on this. I changed most of the LEDs to a nice brite green. Along with the RPM numbers. it took some time and patients but the end result was well worth the effort. I need to get some better shots but I wanted to share the overall look with everyone. His products are top notch and again his help is priceless. He also offers the complete swap service for those who don't wanna take the time or don't live close enough to South Florida for me to help with. Hope you like it. I'll try to get beter pix tomorrow. Enjoy.

I had just turned the ignition on for the pix. The LEDs don't change anything but the color. i was gonna leave some of em red but changed my mind at the last moment. I had left the turn signals the original green but took it all back apart coz there was such a dramatic difference. So now they all match. As far as difficulty, it wasn't all that hard, you just need the proper tip for the solder gun and follow the tutorial on "Garages" web page. Especially the part about reheating the first side till you hear the "snap". It really does that. Anyway, thanx for the props. I like that I have done everything on her (my book keeper) car. She is really proud and so far has received all first place or best of trophies. She loves the peoples response to her car. Thanx again for the replies.

Apparently garag1217 doesnt have any experience/information changing the led's in the factory head unit, as ive yet to receive an answer to at least one of the emails ive sent regarding information. I guess ill just open it up to figure out what i need and order from someone else.

Good job on your conversion though!

Be sure you're sending it to the right address. Jeremy usually replies right away. He always answered my emails the same day and most times within an hour or 2. But you may be right about the head unit. I may have asked him the same thing. I decided not to mess with the original one and we found the OEM 6 disc Pioneer on ebay for under a hundred bucks NIB and besides the 6 disc feature, it changes about 8 face colors. You can have one color or have it scroll thru the colors. So no need to fiddle. Awesome colors too.

The weekend I did Ronna's cluster, you responded to every one of my questions within the hour each time I emailed you. That was VERY helpful while I had it apart on the table. I never had to skip a beat. Thanx again.
