Actually, I haven't gotten my xA yet, so I can't say. But I dropped by the dealer tonight with my son to drool over them. When he saw the xB, he asked, "What's THAT?" So we got them to open up an xB for us, and my son informed me that we're not getting an xA, we're getting an xB. After all, this is gonna be his college car (he hopes).

I live in Texas. The car is labeled as a Ford Aspire. It is built by Kia in Korea, but the engine and transimission have Mitsubishi tri-diamond emblems cast into the housings. They are Mitsubishi designs. My car is the very same car they call the Avella in Korea (I've been there; I've seen them).

Maybe a Mitsu plant built them based on the Mazda engine for Kia? It is a 1.3.... but it does have the tri-diamond.

If it wasn't for Scion and their insane pricing option I would still be bombing around in my 2000 Ford Focus. It was a good little car, but my RS2 has so much more to offer than the Focus.

maybe it's a mexican model? I know when I was in Mcallen there were cool sub compact cars every where... I think the little "chevy" symbol on some is a joke... lol Hmmm... I don't know why you have the mitsu emblems... the festiva/aspire forums are clueless too.... I'll let you know if they/ I find out

The real Kia site is www.streetkiaz.com (yeah I'm registered on there too, my wife has a 2004.5 Spectra)

I wanted a Spectra5 until I saw the crash test results and resale

I wanted a Vibe until I realized how horrid the resale would be.

I bought the xA because, well I love it.

DOHCtorJT- I had the same experience as you. A local newspaper reviewed the Spectra5 and said the crash test results did not apply the the Spectra5. To this day I still don't know what to believe.

Finally found a aspire to look at. A friend at works has one. I totally see a mitsubishi logo on the throttle body, but no where else.... the engine was a mazda however... I wonder what the mitsubishi TB is all about.
