Default Anyone elses xA just randomly act like it's going to die

Maybe it's the heat out here, or the a/c clutch, or something wrong with the little one but from time to time (more when the A/c is on) our xA just seems like it's going to die, rpm's drop to nearly 400 in drive, whole car shakes for a second, then right back to normal. At first I thought it was the A/c clutch but I noticed it wasn't in time with it. The local dealer is the only one that's touched it aside from when we picke it up from Camelback. Started happening a month ago, and goes a few days before doing it again.
Any ideas?
Erik

I've always thought that the AC was just a big strain on the little 1.5. Does it just do this when you are at idle?
