If so, what type? I used to run Kartboy in my Lancer but it doesnt look like they have a Scion application.

anywhoo, if you got em, let me know where you picked them up and if you think they made a big difference.

I think they only have them for the tC. I put them in my car and it made a difference. The car's shifts are much crisper. It probably wouldn't be that hard to make bushings for xA's. If the shifter linkage is anything like the tC's, any machine shop should be able to easily make some to fit.

Negative, CorSport makes them for the xA, xB, and tC.

I'm actually going to be ordering a set today if they're in stock.

Aaaaand, I just ordered mine.

I'll be doing a short shifter after this, eventually. I just wanted to improve the ever-so-crappy shifter feel.

are you going to run both the cable and the base?

I never replaced the cable bushing in my lancer...... wasnt offered at the time.

I ordered both the cable and the base. The base bushings are on backorder until about the end of next week.

I'm fed up with the crappy feel too... especially after grinding 2nd a number of times just because the shift into 2nd is periodically a difficult one.

Have you taken any looks at short shifters? A buddy of mine has the Perrin, and I personally love the feel and the reduced throw. Not sure how the TRD and others stack up against each other.

i've heard iffy things about the Perrin. Looks like if I had to choose today I'd go with the TRD. There are a ton of choices though...... I'd be willing to look at the Perrin again, I just havea friend here who was very dissapointed at most of the Perrin line

Hm. Maybe there are better out there?

I know TWM makes one, B&M, and I found one made by a company called Craven Speed, which looks like a real quality piece.

Craven Speed shifter: https://www.scionlife.com/forums/vie...ghlight=craven

The nice thing about the TRD is that it comes preassembled, but its not adjustable.

I have the TRD shifter, which comes with metal shifter base bushing, and I also have the CorSport shift cable bushings. They all work GREAT together, and help better the feel immensely. Everything is now firm and mechanical - no more of that rubbery vagueness. Cheap mod, too.

I did have to remove the intake to install the bushings, but it only took me about 10 minutes to figure out. Just make sure you have a 12" extension for your socket wrench to remove the bottom of the air box.

This is true about the TRD setup coming with the metal spacers (there not really bushings) for there short shift setup, but to be honest, i was not very impressed by the results. For the amount of money customers are spending on this unit, the results shoul be much more noticeable, but they werent that great in comparisson to units such as perrins or B&M's. I found the unit to be semi notchy and not really reducing the throw. But then again a lot of people associate notchy with short which obviously isnt true.
just my .02

Well, I received my linkage bushings, and the base bushings are on the way. They just came off of backorder.

Providing my intake comes by Friday, I'll be doing a little installation on Friday evening.

TOTALLY worth the 30 bucks for the shift linkage bushings.

Its a really easy install once the air intake crap is out of the way. Improved the shifter feel 100x.

I also bought the shifter base bushings, but these didn't make as much of a difference. Are they still worth it... definitely. I would get the linkage bushings first though.

Whenever I get my new camera, I'll see about doing a DIY.

Installing a CAI and the bushings in the same night made things really easy.

Everyone in the garage tonight wants to get the bushings for their xBs now too. It's that much better.

Any downside to this? Noise? Vibration?
