Hi, how does the Blitz and TRD exhaust system compare / differ for the xA ? I saw a Blitz one for dirt cheap on Ebay, and didn't want to pass up the deal. It claims to up 5 to 20 HP (bit skeptic), but wanted to ask anyone that owns either for your opinions.

No axle back is going to give you even 5 hp. I saw a long post on here in the first gen xb section some time back, the people who got the Yellow RS version with the blitz exhaust (if it wasn't blitz let me know, pretty sure it was) almost all said their tip either was cracking around the weld or fell off. So quality wise blitz doesn't seem good. I have the TRD one but I also know someone that works for Toyota so I got a discount. I wouldn't recommend spending that much for it unless you can get a discount since there are other equally good ones out there for less.

Thanks for the input. What's the price range on good quality, axle back exhaust systems for the xA ? I've heard of Blitz from the sport compact car industry, as they provide many mods. If I got it for say...under $200, would it be a steal ?

mb is right, no exhaust is going to give you 5 hp increase. that being said, i got a TRD exhaust for my xA on ebay for $90 including shipping still new in the box. the deals are out there you just gotta look hard enough.

 

I got a TRD new in box with documentation for inspections for 120.00 shipped from a guy in Fl through another Scion web site ,keep your eyes peeled on classified sections of other sites.I really like the TRD its not too loud its just perfact,check out You tube I posted my TRD and you can find others posted to get an idea ahead of time. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AT2m0V_5OdI
