Default Body panel swap: Xa panels to echo frame

So I wish to install a complete Xa front end and I have the following questions:

What, if any, alterations have to be made to the front end to make these parts jive?

What is the best source for these parts?

What is the best front bumper for the Xa to fit an (extremely) low hanging intercooler?

Regards,

Andy

After doing some homework, and matching measurements and checking part numbers:

The Echo is compatible to swap front ends with the Xa! Now just getting ahold of all the necessary parts...

The body lines are really different... you might get the panels to bolt on, but from fender to door the lines won't well, line up.

Good luck, though! Post pix!

Well, righ now I am out of state, but here is what is happening:
I have:
Fenders (painted and preped)
Headlights
front bumper (painted and preped)

I am waiting on:

A CF hood, I found one I just have to buy it!

Should be done soon, but I have to make a trip overseas soon, so I will let you all know!

X2 I love the idea and hope it works out. My favorite swap like that right now is putting a Charger front end on a Magnum. The parts are suppossedly a direct swap.

You know I haven't posted on this site in over 6 months. But your thread caught my eye.

Are you crazy??!! (in a good way)

You've got to post pics when completed!

Lots of GM 60's stuff can be swapped around. I remember my dad swapped a '64 Pontiac Catalina front clip with a Bonneville after my sister rear ended someone the first day she drove to school!
