Borla exhaust question
I am considering having the Borla axle back exhaust put on my xA. Can you share your experiences as to how much louder the cabin becomes during regular driving. I know I will get a nice throaty sound on harder acceleration, but how is it when just driving easy? Thanks
im not sure how that exhaust sounds but my friend has some sort of exhaust on his xA and it is loud, but you soon get used to it so it doesnt seem as loud after your used to it. lol.
I have had the Borla axle back on my 2006 xA for almost a month now, and I would highly recommend that you get it. You will hear it when you first start the engine...as it says, "Hi" with its deep throaty growl, and when you stomp on it (which you will want to do for the first couple tanks of gas after its installed). But whether at idle, or even cruising at 70 mph - there is a sweet new sound to your exhaust, but it does not deafen those who are in the cabin (I think you will barely notice it). Case in point: I did a single-blind experiment with my wife, who was against the idea of me 'upgrading' the exhaust. Well, I upgraded it anyway (without telling her), and she cannot tell the difference. Keep in mind she is not the primary driver of the xA, but she is in the car often with me and the kids. Just do it, you'll be glad you did. I sure am.
