Willwood makes a big brake kit for us.
But you can make your own... I'd get a drilled/slotted rotor and a good set of 4 piston calipers and new brake lines.
And obviously some high quality pads, like Hawk Ceramics or something like that.
Now, you'll also need to make sure the caliper clears your rims as well.
And you'll be looking at about 1,000 for a kit and/or all the parts to make one.
Here's a few places to get you started:
StopTech
Wilwood
Rotora
Hawk
There are more companies out there and the such so... just do some research.

I have heard that 4 piston calipers are not always better....they flex a lot more.
Since the xA is so light and moderately powered, I think you'd be better served by replacing the rotors and getting better pads. Heat dissapation is what you want and being old school, cast iron rotors are what I know. I'd research the newer composition rotors and pads...But, beware, the ceramics take a while to heat up to where they grip and they cool off so fast you are always trying to get the brakes warm enuff to grip. They are great for track time however....
If you are mostly a backroad burner, I'd check into slotted discs and some better pads, not a big brake kit. It will be cheaperand if it still doesn't do what you want, then you can still have fun while you save for the BBK.
Do you have fog lights?
If not, pop out the covers and modify them so you can let the air in.

I'd look thru some of the sponsors here (you might get a discount) or someone like Stop-Tech or Wildwood like Chops suggested. And there is always Tire Rack. From what I hear, factory rotors are now disposeable on small cars.
You might want to find which is better, slotted or drilled. I have heard that drilled don't stand up to everyday driving with all the potholes and such. They become brittle. Again, these are just the opinions of an old fart.

That is going to be a trial and error undertaking. But, I'd just get my hoses and see where the best place to place your intake...I would look into scavenging something like the air intakes from an older Camaro intake and mount them under the bumper...I say the older Camaro because the intake was wide flat black plastic....

Ebay the ducting. Here are some options.

B: http://cgi.ebay.com/FLS0625-Metallic...QQcmdZViewItem
C: http://cgi.ebay.com/Vinyl-Ducting-Ve...QQcmdZViewItem
Basically just need something to route the air back. You can paint it whatever color you need for it to be.

I think I'd go with something about 4", george. I'm thinking that wal-mart may even have something that would work for you. I'm thinking of the waste water hoses like you use for an rv. Home Depot should also have some of that black plastic like you'd use to move water away from your house out of your gutters.
