Default Changing sparkplugs ran into a problem - need assistance?

I changed the sparkplugs with the directions posted on ScionLife and was finished in 30 minutes. Great instructions. When I finished, I started the car and after checking only two cylinders were firing. If you are looking at the engine from the front, the right two cylinders were fine. When I took off the firing plug-in off the first two plugs, there was no difference in the way the motor ran. Apparently, the first two cylinders are not getting fuel. Could that be? I took a spark plug out of the 4th cylinder and swithed with the first cylinder and no difference. Only the 3rd and 4th cylinder seemed to be firing. I took the bolt out of cylinder one while the motor was running and when I lifted the spark-plug shroud a couple of inches, I could hear the sparkplug firing.

Any ideas?

I'm no mechanic. But it sounds to me like you either A) Have the wrong plugs B) Didn't torque the plugs down correctly or C) You have bad coils.

I'm leaning more towards option C. Recheck your ignition coils connections to the plugs and try it again.

also.. make sure those two left cylinders have the proper spark-plug WIRES going to each port , and that they are not switched.
