i have the Dc strut bar on my xa and it seems to be promoting chasis flex. at least that's wut i think it is. since intalling the bar, my xa is making all types of chasis bending, frame flexing noise coming from towards the back of the car when i enter driveways or take speedbumps at an angle.

anyone else have the bar and experiencing the same thing? the noise is driving me nuts.

 

Not sure but that might be a little normal. With out the bar, the car could flex a little more then it can now, so that little extra flexing might have been just enough to keep you from hearing it. Now with the bar in, you cut down on some of this flex, so now you can hear it :? Might be something. Maybe you should look into that little lower tie bar part & see if that helps any.

 

thanks for replying. i have been thinking about the hotchkis sway bars to rid of the sound because it's driving me nuts, but i don't want to pay 165 and installation without even being sure it'll do wut i want it do..

does anyone else have this same problem??

 

I just purchased the DC strut bar today.I will see if I get the same noise you are experiencing after I install the strut bar.give me a week to report back................juan

I installed my DC strut bar and I haven't heard any squeeking. You might want to check and see if all the strut nuts are tightened.

 

I've had mine in for a couple weeks now and have not heard any new noises.
