Default Dealer has no manual xA’s

Well I have been trying to get a manual xA and they just are not getting any in. Just called the dealer and he said no manuals for about the 4 to 6 weeks. AAAAHHHHH. I want this car now damn it.

I got a price of 12,800 for the car so now it’s more waiting time. Why me….

We have a few of those here. Wish you were close to we are. It would be a done deal at that point.

Hey don't forget to check around for a used one... I got mine with the rims I have now and 6-disc and a bazooka tube and strut bar for 12,500 with 10k miles on it at one of those Qualcomm tent sales. Also the people at Mossy Toyota could be a little better at finding one for you, or hit up Rich Manas at Kearny Mesa, whichever is closer to you.

In my area, out of 300 or so xA's, there are 30 of them. That's a 5 state region, and the number one selling region in country mind you.

My dealer (Tom Scott) didn't have ANY scions. Nor could they manage to find ANY in my region that was a manual. No luck for me. I'm having one ordered though... IIP.

You're in Idaho... no wonder. Are you going to attempt to drive the scion in the snow? I know from personal experience, living in McCall for a year, that a big ol chevy suburban is much better suited to the terrain.

I'll have to drive it in whatever there happens to be. I have a Ford Bronco II for driving up to Bogus Basin (Ski Resort) so if it's REALLY bad there shouldn't be any problem. Plus I have some drifting experience, and I'll likely have studded snow tires to help.

Have you driven a MT XA? The shifter leaves a LOT to be desired. The clutch is mushy, fragile, and often chatters. The more I drive mine , the more I wish I'd gotten the auto.

My clutch has never chattered... slipped a couple times, sure. But all in all, I love driving my manual. Automatics are... boring.

Wow, I've never heard such a negative opinion on manual xA's. Usually here that the clutch is great and shifting is crisp, etc, etc.

If you do a lot of hwy driving, I would advise against the manny. The gearing is too short, and there is a lot of engine speed at 65 mph. Something around 3k rpm. Great for city driving tho!
