I ask because I have only test driven this thing and I'm feeling a little obsessed and addicted. I tried to write it off as more than I wanted to spend... but... I.... just .... can't break free. I've been trolling the forums here a little bit and seen others throw around the "obsession" word as well. What is it in these little buggers that brings out the OCD in us?

I was originally looking at a base manual (mainly cause I'm cheap)...
I tried to write IT off as too much money... failed...
Now I'm trying to suppress the urge to go for the RS1.0.

 

the rs 1.0 xa is hot! it does need to be lowered but i do think those things are pretty sexy! much better looking in person imo! go for it, you won't be sorry!

 

Ya. I saw pictures of it on the site and said "eh, no big dif". Then I went to the dealer and saw it sitting out front! Very sexy indeed.

I ordered mine in the summer and finally picked it up yesterday. All I can say is.... wow. The smile that it brings to your face is just amazing. Does it need a drop? Yeah, but it doesn't REALLY need one, its fine the way it is. It just looks really fast and its definitely eye catching. The feature everyone overlooks in the RS1 is traction control and stability control. Thats huge, at least for me. I am definitely proud and happy I made the decision to get the RS 1. But even if you get the stock xA, you won't be any less happy. Scion is Scion, the best company in the world. You won't be disappointed. :D

 

Oh I love my RS 1.0! Spent all day doing the Zaino thing, and now it is so shiny and beautiful. Get the RS 1.0, you won't regret it!

I to was originally just going to get a manual tranny xA, but after a long wait for one in the color we were looking for our dealer called me up and said he could get a RS for me if I wanted to go with that.

I originally declined because it was more than I wanted to spend, then thought about it and called him back up to take it. It had everything I wanted and more in the xA. When you think about all the extras you get with it it's well worth the extra money.

The car does look very nice in person. I like mine so much I won't let my wife drive it

Anyway, I'm now the proud owner of #0074

I also agree that the traction control is very overlooked on this car. When winter hits here in Oregon and it rains every day for 3 months in a row it will be very handy.

 

I was on my way to work this morning and saw a car carrier with some PU's and some cool looking red car. I saw it and took a double take, thought "WTF was THAT?!" It was looking pretty good. Then I realized it was the RS10xA. Very cool looking car, at least at 30 degrees going the other direction on the back of a baby blue rig . This car carrier only had 3-4 cars on it, so it must've been going to one of the 2 dealers close by. I'm going hunting tonight.

 

Get the RS, you won't be disappointed. Right now mine is the only RS in Colorado. When winter arrives you will love the traction control.

Bottom line: One hot little car, fun to drive, turns the heads, 31 mile to the gallon.

 

What ever you have, RS or standard, you MUST lower the xA.
From design perspective, it drastically improves it's appearance.

Unlowerd = pretty CUTE looking (if this is OK for you, do not apend money to lower)
Lowered = Supermodel HOT! (Yea Baby Yea!)

It's going to happend the same thing that happend to me. For the pass eight months I expend more time and money on my xA than in my woman.
