Default Finally got pics of my RS3! (56k warning)

I left my camera at my parents' house and finally stopped by for a visit and got to take pics of the new ride.
I had a lot of bug splats and bird business from my first week of ownership, but I hit it with a bath before taking the pics.
Next to it in some pics is my dad's 02 Nissan Frontier.

Enjoy!

Side shot

Don't even have my plates yet

Installed my wind deflectors yesterday

Some cheapy seat covers to pass me by until I can get my neoprenes

Dash mat!

Hi

=)
I'm still debating on what size wheels to get, and what kind...I got a few secondhands from my friend up north he'll bum to me cheap, but until then...I won't be doing any drops.
If I keep em at 15s I'm at least doing a 1"

indeed....

I've already got an ist rebadging, door sills, rear bumper applique, lowering kit, JDM tails, and new wheels (once I decide which style I like best) on the way.
Oh yea, and tinted windows.

I can't find any CARB-approved intakes and the cops around here are really **** when it comes to exhausts (my friend got a fix-it for a factory chrome tip once), so I'm a bit wary to get either of those since I really don't want to be swapping parts for emissions.

If anything, get the TRD exhaust. You can argue it's an option.

Plus, an axleback exhaust will not affect emissions, only noise.

My friend's Chrome tip WAS an option and he still got cited for it. Cops around here will give a ticket for just about every rediculous thing they can find. Sad thing was, when he went to court he showed his sticker listing the Chrome exhaust tip as an option and he was told that it's "deceptive" or something along those lines...I mean this thing was a Cavalier with no mods on it...I can understand pulling someone over with a fart cannon and an exhaust tip but he was just minding his business.
=P

Anywho, don't want to threadjack myself here. It's not so bad in my town, but I usually head down to Visalia/Tulare and they get crazy picky about anything modded on a car. But yea, I was thinking of sticking to TRD for parts, that way I can say it's Toyota and it was an option.

if you get wheels, pleeeeease don't go over 16 inches. I hate seeing people ruin the look of this car by running huge wheels.

Yea I was trying to play around with photoshop, but I was having a bit of trouble getting dimensions the same, since I don't have a spare 18" wheel to place against the car.
I really am a bit hesitant to buy those 18's from my friend even though they are a great deal. I've pretty much decided to stick to 15's. Now I just need to find the right ones.

OR I could just do like "everyone" else in my area is doing: 24" spinners!

for those of you with bigger wheels, how much of an affect did it have on the trip meter? Does it affect over gauges too?

myautofashion.com sells them
so does trdsparks.com

I think they're called "vent visors" on most websites...

I forgot where I bought mine... heh but they're not the official toyota ones...they were a bit cheaper, but if I remember where I got em I'll post here.

it's the velourmat. My old car had the original dashmat and it's pretty much just like a carpet texture...the velour is a lot smoother...kind of like the texture on the seats which I liked better.

I've since stuck my xA symbol on the passenger side of the mat btw.

You should buy the herpes, er, 501 or 002s. Those would look really slick.

I have 501s on my box and they're fantastic, rugged wheels.
