well, its off to Iraq for me. In the meanwhile, back here in the states, I am using the opportunity to perform a full scale buildup on the Echo.
While I am gone, the engine/drivetrain/etc. will be receiving a full buildup treatment:
Forged rods
Forged pistons
Custom ground camshaft
re-sleave
transmission upgrade
driveshaft shop axles
bigger turbo (PSI=?)
fuel pump
bigger brakes
The goal horsepower for the project is somewhere in the neighborhood of 350-450hp.
Hopefully it doesn't explode like the Mazdaspeed 3 that did a few weeks ago.
Nitrous is an option, but I think the wheel spin would be uncontrollable. Anyway, I think that this will officially retire the beast from the streets, as it will be to crazy to control in anything but a straight line. Whatever, who cares.
