Has anyone wired for trailer lights?
I've looked high and low for an easy-to-do trailer wiring. I'd prefer not to have to do any splicing. Found a T-connect kit for xB, but none for xA. Any ideas, suggestions?

Try the Hoppy converter for cars with seperate turn signals and brake lights. Uses the quick tap connectors and works great! Like only 5 wires to hook up.

I have a generic one for the curtis hitch I bought. It is not that hard to wire up with all those taps. My main problem was running a wire from the acc fuse for the power line to the box along the drivers side of the car to the rear to power the trailler box. My big hurdle is do I drill a hole in the spare tire area to stick the plug through and any future water or just leave it in the back and jam it in the gasket area when used.

I just remember what a black and decker rep told me one day when I use to return tools for warranty service. Let the tool do the work. Sure you can get it to 60 in ten seconds with only 2 gears, but its not good to rev a new car that high. The book says it will do 77 if I recall correctly in 3rd gear safly, but I save that for 5th gear. Ive done highway speeds in 4th gear in heavy traffic so I can use the gas petal to brake by lifting, but for the most part its in 5th gear.

No gear indicator? Ive never driven an auto scion, but the yaris was a different story. THe hatch back seemed great and shifted as neded for power and was fun and easy to drive. The sedan made me sound like a manianic when it shifted unless I did it manually. I just barely touched the gas and it would rev through the gears.
Not being able to feel your car shift is a great thing. Not many cars can do that unles they have a cv tranny, not to mention if you are trying to get it to 100 mph in the least amount of time as possible. COnsider yourself lucky. If you want to accelerate faster, try shifting it manually.

In another thread...I'd posted that I was planning to tow a jet ski for a relatively short distance. I got the hitch mounted and have launched the ski and pulled it around the lake area with no problems, so I decided to wire the trailer so I could legally pull it home from the lake after the season is over.

Take three ten dollar bills to Uhaul and have them do it.
It's short money to have them do it and you won't have to figure out what you did wrong if they don't work.
Also, their work is warranteed.
SPEAKING of trailers, anyone tow with their xA?
I'd like to bring my scooter (300lbs) to Florida with me.
Thanks,
J
