I've just bought the whole security system for the XA but I bought the 2006 one from Ebay and my Scion XA is 2005. After 7 hours learning, trying and nstalling everything there was one harness connector that was not matching. It is the connector that goes to the area on the "driver side"corner w/ the door. It should be the same size as the passenger door connector but Toyota changed the size of this connector for the 06 model and only changed for the driver side. Does anyone know how to adapt that connector from the 06 model to the 05 model? Can an electrician fix this for me ? It seems that the whole thing but this connector is different. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

 

honestly i think your outta luck. unless you take the connecters off and somehow splice the wires where they need to go...

 

Thank you for the reply....that's what I think I will have to do...I guess I'm going to take it to an electrician to do that since I don't know which wires connects to the car's harness.

 

post a couple of pics of the harness end your talking about and where it would plug into the door.

it won't work toyota added a extra pin on that connector while the 05 doesn't have that extra pin...
