Help Please: No Low Beams

Hello everyone,

My 06 xA had no low beams when I went to drive home last night. I do have high beams. The previous two days, the lights flickered when I first turned on the car, if this is any contextual help.

I have tried the following:
  1. Replaced the bulbs within the last year. EDIT: Bulbs tested positive for continuity.
  2. I checked the two fuses in the box located in the engine block and both are fine.
  3. I took it to the mechanic (I had to get an oil change anyway) and they went for the low hanging fruit and said it was the battery, but i'm not convinced. I was told the alternator checks out OK. EDIT: Had the battery tested, it's at about 90%.
Does this model have a relay I can check? If so, where is it located? I've spent the last several hour searching forums, internet, and the owners manual and all I find is info for the xB. :( Let me know if there's any other info I can provide. :)

Thanks for any help you fine people can provide.

My issue is the wire on this plug(with the zip tie) keeps loosing contact (it's right behind the fuse panel) it's a red with light blue tracer, but the heat warmed up the insulator to a nice brown color, that really threw me for a loop the first time around...
