How bout someone tries to swap a motorcycle engine into the Xb's and Xa's?

I think that they would still be able to fit, and revving that high would be awesome

Well I was thinking to just put a cheap suzuki 600 engine. Put on a turbo and you should have plenty of power/torque to move this thing as needed! Don't tell me a car revving at 12,000 rpm woudn't be tight! omfg that would be sick lol. Since it would be a motorcycle engine there is no Db level! lol a cop would pull you over and you would be like....i have a moto engine, you can't pull me over for how loud my "car" is...LOL

Reliable, powerful, high revving, lighter weight, maybe just as efficient, and well no Db level would be AWESOME!

just a thought...any pioneers think it could work?

P.S. My inspiration was Initial D when he just got an engine swap. Maybe it wasnt a moto engine but that 11k limit made me think a lil. Sure you would need like 8 gears for it to pull the car at low rev's but man 3rd gear would hit like 100mph haha. I think it would work if the engine was put sideways like our car but the headers would have a hard time fitting I think. The exhaust would come out the right or left side infront of your front doors, so it would be LOUD haha.I just think if its possible for like under 10k I would do it in the future when I have the money.

Yeah, nothing like having a car you can reach highway speeds without shifting from 1st gear and still have a few thousand left before redline.

Now if the scion was rwd like the smart, then yes, thos would be cool and make the xa a real drift car.

 

hell yeah...I thought about this...but I've also thought about mid mounting a 350ci and converting to a Mid-engine AWD 2 seater...I'm nuckin' futs like that.
