Default Hummer H3 vs Scion xA

Pros/Cons?

I'm thinking about trading my xA for an H3. I'm starting to feel guilty about paying so little for such a quality car, with all the extras included, and with normal tires. Then then there's the gas mileage. It started out being a plus, but now I have so much extra money, I don't know what to do. I mean, if I can go to paying 3 times as much for gas, that money will go to more worthwhile causes like lining Big Oil Exec's pockets. Anyone have any experience trading an xA for an H3 or any other American made behemoth? Thanks for the advice!

^^i have never seen anyone complain of too much money, dude send some my way ;-)

well actually i say keep the xA, beacuse you are helping other people save money by not using as much gas, which in turn gives them some disposable income, where they can spend it, then help businesses, and then that helps the econmoy, so you are actually doing more than you think

everyone with a gas sipping vehicle is actually helping the econmoy whether they know it or not

This cant seriously be a question? Those two cars arent comparable or in any way related. You buy both for totally different reasons.

Hmm..Should I trade my pinto for a ferrari?

KngHmltsGhst , looks like you have a similar sense of humor to mine. You know maybe I should think about supposrting George W. Bush being in the white house, I mean look at all the good things he's done... ...for himself. I don't know why I didn't think of becoming a christian coalition right winger, I could be so helpful to the white house and ___-bash myself while trying to invade whatever I feel like when I'm bored. And come to think of it, my vocabulary has been too clogged up with needless words. I could make my life easier if I just put together a bunch of small words in a fashion that makes enough sense for people to make 365 page calendars based on my mispoken speeches to the free world.

And then I'll trade in my xB for an H3 just like you...be careful not to do any mods. Soon we can all pay way too much for gas, make a fast foward to polluting the earthto its demise, and drive the same exact car and call it the sheep-mobile.

Come on people. It's called sarcasm. He obviously didn't mean it.
On a side note...the Hummer H3 really isn't that bad. Some friends of ours just got one and it's no bigger than a Jeep Cherokee. As a matter of fact, my other friend's Honda Pilot is bigger and has more passanger room than the H3. It just looks big because it has that aggresive Hummer Styling. It also only has a 5 cylinder engine.

matt a, it seems to be that I'm finding more and more people in this world who don't "get "sarcastic remarks. Sad really, seeing as how I enjoy them so much

Just get a new Explorer instead. Same thing as the H3 minus all the ugly. If you want real Hummer strength, get this:

Maybe it's because people communicate so much now by writing (posting in forums, email or text messages) and the "tone" of sarcasm doesn't come through well.

That is true. I just found that the sarcasm was definately missed, but I just chose to "thread jack" with my H1 comment

But still the ridiculousness of the sentiment is still there. I mean "I'm thinking about trading in my car because I have TOO much extra money"?? or "I'd like to make big oil exec's a bunch more money" The tone's not there, but either someone saying something like that is certifiably insane, or making a joke. Guess there's more people out there who think there are tons more crazy people roaming the streets.

Oh, and most of the people I'm finding who don't get sarcasm are in real life, so they hear the tone, no text to confuse anyone.

I was seriously wondering if people were all going to take it serious the way the replies started...whew!

I wonder why people don't like sarcasm/satire? I bet you're right, it being text surely has something to do with it, but the words themselves should be a clue....

The scary part is that if it sounded believable, there must be a chance people would consider it....yikes....
