Well you posted here. My real question is why they have a problem with your plate? Are they taking it away from you? I saw a a plate here in CA a while back LIFESUX.

anyway just curious.

 

I would get something that is easy to mess up.

no they aren't taking it away but when i went to court for a speeding ticket the cop and judge both said i was stupid for having that plate. and it would be in my best interest to change it.

Myself, I work for a bank and think about having NSF, OVERDRAFT, RETURN ITEM, etc, etc.

Where were you and what speed were you going. Got to be careful on 64 and 95 around the city. You can count on a copy at teh interchange, lakeside exist and a few other areas. FOrget speeding on sirface streets. i295, you can go 80 before anyone pulls you over.

I didnt say my license plate was illegal...the judge and cop just said it wasn't a good choice for me considering my driving record is awful, which indeed it was a stupid choice. No one is making me change it, i'm just doing it.

I know and live around a lot of cops. Basically do these and you wont get pulled over.

1, use turn signals anytime you switch lanes or turn
2, wait 1 second at any stop sign at a complete stop before moving again
3, brake for yellow lights
4, stop for red lights
5, obey the speed on surface streets, on the interstate, you can go 10 over maybe 14 if you drive properly, no weaving or rapid lane changing with or without signaling.

If you see blue lights behind you, pull way over soon as possible to give the cop lots of room and keep hands on steering wheel near 10 and 2. Just pull over and hold the brake, dont shift or set the parking brake. They hate to see movement inthe cabin.

Wait for the cop to come up to you and tell you want to do, usually roll down window. Refer to him or her as officer unless you can see the strips, then according to rank. Ask before you do anything like set the brake, put in park, turn off the key. One of the first questions will be, do you have any weapons, drugs, etc I should know about.

Basically he or she is going to treat you like a criminal til they size you up, then they will put the gun, light and guard down and interact with you normally from that point.

You also want to look into some courses to get your points down or even have positive points. Those classes are usually full and you may need to book months in advance. Nothing like having positive points on your driving record.

FYI, most cops suspect rice cars as many of the drivers do not drive well and practice somewhat reckless driving or road rage.

Sorry to hear about your experience at getting pulled over, thats something I try to avoid and so far have been very successful, although most of my life has been spent in a wheelchair vs behind the wheel.

As for me, I just got the assigned plate and prepaid for 2 years on the tags for the discount they gave, likewise with insurance. 423 bucks for 6 months fullcoverage and then some and 500 dollar deductable for a 09 xb.

 

I am so confused, whats the point of changing a personallized plate to another personalized plate, I think it would be defeating the purpose. I would say it is absolutely pointless changing it unless you were going to go with a regular plate.

And if its because of the FAST implication, I don't think GRLRASR is gonna help your cause!
