Default Just got my Indigo xA!

Woo Hoo! I just got my Indigo Ink xA. Too bad I could not get the side airbags, my dealer too said there is almost no hope in getting one with them.
Oh well, I had to settle for some more goodies on it instead, like rear applique (sp) alloy rims and the illuminated cup holder and flooring ;)

Just got my blue last night, already put 111 miles on it in 2 days (mainly just driving back and forth to work).

I wanted the side airbags, but my dealers also told me I could pretty much forget matching unless I got extremely lucky, so dropped the bags.

With a mix of Freeway and City, I've gotten about 33 miles per gallon so far.

Congrats to both you. Only reason we didn't get an xA as one of our Scions was the room. We are both tall and have a baby to deal with. Otherwise we liked them a lot.

Thanks all! I will post pics as soon as I can. My wife is dropping the XA off today to get the alarm and foglights installed. She is getting an Xb loaner So, I get to try that one out for a day, Who knows, perhaps I can get the whole set ;)

that's a load of crap about the airbags. I ordered an indigo xa about 3 weeks ago and got them...no problem!!!! Isn't the WHOLE POINT of the Scion process that you are suppposed to be able to get EXACTLY what you want???? Your dealer is a liar and I think that totally sucks.

no, from what I heard they only produce about 3% of their inventory with Airbags.

It's not an option they can add at port.

Then add in stick, which is even a smaller portion of their cars, and you are talking a rare breed.

I was offered a White and Black Cherry xA with side airbags and turned those down.

I don't like either colour (though now the white is starting to look nice )

Though my dealer wasn't very communicative with me, I doubt they lied about trying to get me what I want.

What I know they did was use a standard "6 month" excuse to get me to take what they had at that moment.

I too was disappointed about the side bags. I called 3 different dealers in my area and they all said about the same thing. One guy said he would drive one in that was 150 miles away, I told him forget it, unless you put it on a trailer. It's all good, I love my little guy

Well, I got the air bags AND manual transmission and my dealer NEVER said A WORD about either of those options being hard to get. The "scion experience" is about getting exactly what you want. It sounds like dealers are already starting to play games and I would report them if I were you.

I know the airbags are installed at the factory but who cares?? The color is put on at the factory, too and you can get any color you want! The 6 month wait is a load of B.S., too.

Anyway, that's my 2 cents.

Sheri
