Default Key stuck in ignition. HELP!!!

i got into work this morning. i turn off my car and turn the key to acc and off. but when i tried to take it out it wont, it is stuck. It wont even depress....''
Doh!
the key is stuck on the acc position. and the alarm still works in this position, which is good. I work at a pretty safe area, so no major worries about my car being stolen.

have this happened to anyone, suggestions how to fix.
i'll call the dealer later if i can't get the solution from you guys.

Is there a chance the steering wheel has it in a bind?

I've had something like this happen to me in another car...perhaps it does have a little to do with the steering lock. Try to wiggle the steering wheel while moving the key from ACC to OFF. The only other thing I could think of is you have a warped key, maybe with a slight crack on it, in which case you just wiggle it lightly while pulling gently to get it out, that's assuming you can take it off ACC.

Mine does the same thing... have you taken your center consol apart lately?

That's when mine started acting up... there's a bar that runs from your shifter, along the inside of the consol to just under your Driver side cup holder... push that bar towards the front of your car and the key will come out.

I just haven't gotten around to taking the car into the dealership to have it looked at yet... I hate to say use the search tool but there are a few threads about this topic here. That's how I figured out how to get my key out.

Mine started the same way... it will get worse. Trust me. Doing that is only going to work for a little bit.
