Default Lights behind the grill?

Ive noticed quite a few photos in the photos thread where lights have been mounted behind the grill. I am on my second set of non toyota fog lights and think that maybe a good place to mount another pair if these fail me. I had a pair mounted under the bumper, but a few driveways later then were left dangling. I now have a pair in the stock place, but its not too beefy where they are mounted and was going to use the second grill area behind the bump to mount a pair.

Any more feed back on this? It seems some people have a pair behind both sets of grills and fog lights and think one guy had a thin strip of leds behind the upper grill. Just wanting to know.

Behind the lower grille is where I put put mine...The grille has no effect on the lights when they are on. Only problem is you will have to fab up supports for the lights to be attached to.

PEANUT BUTTER JELLY TIME!!!! Nice look Kahuna, I was going to drill in front of the grill myself. I did the stock fog light area, but they seem toflex a bit. You can see mines in the profile for me where I posted a photo.

dude, the oem foglights for the xa are awesome, i say get those. had a pair installed on my gf's xa, and it is literally like her high beams are on when she is using them, they are EXTREMELY bright and look great too! i vote for them.

but if you like the stealth or phantom light behind the brill look, go for it.

I like the rally look to it. Sure beats just mounting them to the tip of the hood by the grill like you see on the mini.
