Default My Dad Flip My Car, But That's OKAY! w/PICTURES HQ

Around 9am, my dad was taking my aunt to the shopping center over in East County. As he was taking the exit (this exit goes up hill) he tried to slow down as he was near the stop sign, but the brakes would not work. Luckily there were no cars around so he end up swerving right and left trying to stop the car by edging the car to the side of the mountain, but the car eventually flipped as it hit the curb. My car is total and is currently stuck at a towing dump over in Alpine.

The irony is that I recently went to the Toyota/Scion dealership to replaced my two front brakes on April 4th 2008 because the brake pads were really worn out.

I'm glad they're both okay, but this is the WEIRDEST morning ever. I am going to the dump tomorrow to see how my car looks like, I'll show you guys the pictures once I get there. I'm going to miss my Scion xA.

[UPDATE]
Thanks for replying guys! Everyone is lucky that they're still alive because my sister's wedding is this Saturday. So our time right now is tight and hectic. My sister and I just went to the insurance company and file the report. We're hoping to investigate and see if it is the brakes were at fault. And the drive to the towing place wasn't bad, the people there were really nice. Another good news is that my car is only at 29,000 miles so I am still under warranty so hopefully either the insurance or the dealership will pay for this wreck.

There you go. Got yourself a lawsuit if you can find Toyota at fault for the brakes.

Looks like the dealership has some answering to do.... So many "thank God no one was hurt" stories from Scion xA accidents..... This is good.

Now that I see the pics I think I am gonna have more nightmares and fears when driving. I saw star_krazy's pics and that was bad enough.....

INFINI - Well I wouldn't say this is good coming from the xA since the brakes failed to do its job. It was the seat belt that saved them. I'm just glad that the frame didn't collapse and crushed their heads. We're still trying to figure out what exactly happen.

star_krazy
- Glad you're okay too, there must be a lot of crazy drivers in Compton.

The report is gonna take 2weeks for completion and I hope there is going to be an ending to this since I have no car to drive now. I hope it's the dealership's fault for doing a crappy job installing new brakes and rotors for my car. That way this will be settled out easily.

Glad to know that everyone was ok.
Our little eggs hold up very well.

accident's take a while to die away.
but there is something fishy with the brakes.

if the brakes didn't work, then there was no pressure in the brake booster to the brakes
Hope everything else with it goes well for you.
