Default My First Middle Finger

As I was driving my xA trying to find a parking space at my college, I found myself almost colliding with another car driven by an uncouth, young lady. Luckily we braked at the same time. And with that, she gave me the middle finger and sped away. It just put a damper on my day. I don't know if I'm being too sensitive about this or is it because this has never happened to me before (never been middle-fingered) especially by someone from campus (that ghetto, fugly biotch! ). Am I taking it too personally? Is this to be expected in a driver's world (I'm a fresh driver btw). How do I deal?

don't worry about it too much....the first time is always "that kind of experience"....theres tons of a-holes on the road....just think, if they drive like that in the parking lot, imagine how they drive with an open road...

I dunno. She's a girl, though. Still, I think you're right. Everybody's telling me I should let it go.

I know what you mean, I got a ticket at my university for having my car facing the wrong way in a parking spot, thru parking is what they called it. Anyways it was just a small $20 ticket but small things like that can make or brake your day. I find that playing video games help, San Andreas FTW

Let it go, she was the one to fall back on her base instincts, which obviously are a lot lower than yours.

When I get the finger (like that is a rare occasion....) I just smile to myself and think.... "Is that the best you got??"

Sorry to go off-topic, but W...T...F?! A parking ticket for facing the wrong way? Holy hell, and I thought administration at the university I went to was a bunch of money-grubbing douche bags.

I have never heard of a college/university ticketing cars for facing the wrong way. Apparently there's some sort of inherent danger in your car facing a particular way versus it's reciprocal position that has been deemed unsafe, and therefore unjust, by your university.

Sorry... I am just really taken back by the notion of ticketing people for not parking a particular way. Is the university ran by fascists?

And to keep with the topic of the OP.... don't take it personal, I notice people have a greater tendency to flick you off when they're the ones who made the mistake. In your case, it sounds like it was 50/50 at-fault and she was just being an ignorant beyotch.

I find it most fun to smile at the person and give them a friendly wave. It usually tends to ____ them off more.

(OFF TOPIC RESPONSE: When one car is pulling through a spot another car may be pulling into a spot they think is open. If they just hit each other, that's one thing, when you have cars on either side to swerve into, it becomes a complicated issue. The school might have better things to do than to get involved in finger pointing sessions on campus)

As to the fingering. Ignore it. She's obviously not a happy kid, or was having a bad day, and needs to solve some problems.

My wife is from Canada. One day she calls me after driving home from work and, commenting about other drivers, she says: "Okay, I get it now. I'm ready to buy a gun". She cracks me up but it does say something about how stress has become a larger part of everyday living.

We should all learn to play more.

I bought this cool looking middle finger poster made of plastic about 12" H x 7" W at a Shell gas station that I keep handy. In this situation, I would just smile and gladly show her my pretty little birdie!

I used to key the person's car for being a _____, but I haven't done it lately.
