Hello Everyone
I've been driving a 2005 xA for about 2 years but until now It was owned by my uncle. He finally gave me the option to buy it. However his preferences and mine are at opposite ends of the spectrum. When he bought the car new in 2005 he outfitted it with 17 inch wheels, lowering springs, strut bar, aftermarket exhaust, aftermarket intake. I plan to put the wheels, suspension, and airbox back to stock because the current setup rides like crap on the street and I want to scrap the mesh " air filter" for one that actually filters. The car has been dead reliable. My only complaint about the car it's self is parts are hard to come by and when I find them they are very expensive. Even the shop manual is hard to find. All I can find is the Toyota manual and it's well over $100 for the 2 volume set. I haven't been able to find a Haynes or Chilton version as of yet. *Moved to Correct Forum by Administrator. Oh, and he removed the inner wheel wells up front.
I will be replacing those too. |
If anyone is in central Texas and wants to even swap me their stock suspension and or intake parts for mine hit me up.
Once I get my replacement wheels, my 17's will go up for sale. |

Do you have pics of the wheels?

Wheels
I can take pics of the wheels if you want to see them.
I am in the process of taking them off the car. I replaced the fronts with steel rims but there are still 2 on the back until I can get 2 more matching steel rims to replace those too. |

The wheels are 17 inch MB Drifterhttps://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.sci...1b700c0619.jpg

I've been running 185-65-14 up front for several weeks. The Tire Calculator says this size is just slightly smaller than the stock 15's. The 14 inch Chevy Prizm rims clear the front brakes, correct offset, correct hub size, correct bolt pattern. I just picked up another 2 Prizm rims from the junkyard yesterday. Come Monday or Tuesday they will be on the rear of the car as well. |
