New xA owner! (56k beware!)
Picked up my 06 xA on Monday night, it's a great drive, I totally love it!
I got a manual in flint mica with floormats and keyless entry only. Everybody I've shown it to has commented on how nice the color is. Oh, and I also financed in a clear bra package - a little pricey at $480 but I figured, I'm going to get it quickly, might as well finance it in.
I'm still amazed at the value - I kept wanting to get the heck out of the dealer because I felt like I was stealing it! What really blew me away was the fact that it came with Goodyear Eagles and not no-name japanese tires, that was a nice touch.
If anybody's concerned about power, I loaded it up with five adult men from work and drove to the mall for lunch with the AC on full and accelerated up hills, so it's plenty for me. Like I tell people, the only thing I can do with more power is get in trouble.
And as a nice bonus, in the back was a package of bubble-wrap which contained two more tweeters - I imagine the dealer installer left them in. So if I ever blow those I'll be covered. It also came with a foam MP3 player holder that goes in a cupholder.
Took it to Colorado Springs the other day and checked the mileage - 38.2 with 50 miles of city driving and 100 miles of highway at 85 or so with the AC on over some pretty good-sized hills. So I wouldn't be surprised if full highway pushed 40 mpg, that's awful nice right now!
Definitely much more of a joy to drive, especially on the highway, than the 1996 Geo Tracker this replaces, let me tell you.
Sorry about the image quality - the wife's out of town with the hires camera and I used my Sony D700 which is only 1.2 MP.
