Normal RPM for 2006 Scion xA?
I recently purchased an automatic 2006 Scion xA with almost 92,000 miles on it. It's in good condition, but the RPMs when shifting and driving seem to be high. I've found some info online that this may be normal (at least when shifting) for a car with such a small engine. Does it sound normal to go as high as 3500 RPM when shifting (it's usually around 2500-3000 to shift between low and high gears)? When driving in the city around 30-35 mph and not shifting, it's usually around 1700. When driving on the highway at 60 mph, it sits at 3000.
This is my first car, so I appreciate any feedback for what is normal. Thank you!
