Default Pinstripe question

Hey guys,

I need help with my pinstripe. I need to figure a way to end the stripe around the tailgate, i dont want to just hit the gap between the back panel and tailgate and end it. I would like to continue it around and my first idea was for the two stripes to go around the scion logo. The only problem is that the rear wiper is in the way. Did anyone else do there own pin striping or have any other ideas/pics??

you all should post some pics or something. I have a roll of white pin stripe sitting here that I would like to use on the xA. I have a question; when you put it on can you use soapy water so that you can slide it around so you make sure it's straight or will that not work for pinstripe?

I have not done mine because it is not the look I want. I did at first consider a pin stripe. What I had deciced to do was start on the front fender, come down the side, around the back hatch, and up the other side. At the rear logo the stripe was going to but up against it, or witin 1/8 inch of it. I think it would look goofy to split and go around the top and bottom of the logo.

well, I just got done with mine. I decided to give it a try, and with this being my first time doing pinstripe, it didnt come out too straight...I might take it off.

if you live close enough to drive down, I can install a stripe for you in about 20 minutes, even a slightly customized one in that time

That looks like a very good job. I thought putting it a little lower where it would have hit about the middle of the Scion badge. I am leaning more towards two white stripes on the hood and top.

I already took it off. I couldnt stnd it because it was too crooked...I'm going to try it again but I'm going to lower it some. If it doesnt come out right them I'm just going to forget it.

You could do something like this. It isn't an xA, but its some nice striping. Its on my show car. Instead of going up around the Scion Logo though you could go down.
And I went ahead and showed you some of the striping on the front fender and the pillars behind the rear windows of that car.

I personally like striping that has two different colors. Like, if I was you, I'd do a blue and that white you already had.

first measure it out, go from, like you did where gate meets the quarter, start an inch or two into the gate, measure out to the fender, tear your strip off, if your going to make it into a point, tear off about 6" more, take that little extra you left at the end on your gate, and stick it to your gate just good enough for it to stay, then start peeling the back off and backing up, once your to the end just slowly move towards the front of the car till your around the turn from the gate, get down on your knees and look down the side of your car as you slowly lay the stripe down the full length, tap it down just enough so you can back up and make sure its straight, thats basicly the gist of it
