Default Removing xA emblem?

How do I go about removing the xA emblem on the back of my car? Is it just a peel it off procedure, or do I have to do something fancy to be sure I don't leave a mark? People already ask me what I'm driving, so I figure with no name emblem their little thoughts will just run wild as to what it may be. Thanks in advance for the help.

/\/\/\/\ wrong.

you do not want to risk any paint damage by just goo and pull.

what you will want to do is use goo gone pretty heavily, then slide dental floss behind the badge and use a sawing motion. you may have to keep adding the goo cause you will start running into dry spots. after you let the goo sit a few minutes take your time and dont rush it.

Hey there, kids..... let's not fight or I will turn this thread around and take you both home right this minute!! (Can't we all just get along?)

p.s. thank you both for your input. I will wait and see what others say as well before stripping my car.

I'd go with the goo gone and floss....less clean up when you get it off

I used a hair dryer and floss when I removed mine. Came off pretty clean.

I took mine off with a round house kick to the face!

Actually I left mine on, but if I ever want to take it off I'm definitely calling Chuck.

Nice one, Sakko.... I was at a car show about a month ago and saw some crappy Probe with a huge dent on the rear quarter. They had written on the car in huge black marker "Chuck Norris kicked my car". Funniest thing I had seen all month. Oh yeah, and Chuck Norris' tears cure cancer, but Chuck has never cried in his life. Let that one stew.....

I just pulled mine off on a warm day. It's fairly easy to actually get it off, and there was little to no residue left behind.

I hit the spot with goo-gone to remove anything left, washed the area by hand, and then put a coat of wax over it.

reason to avoid just pulling it off is this.
its a gamble, the paint on scions is pretty whack and you risk damage. although i imagin many of survived this way.
so IMO play it safe with floss.

Well, the paint is brittle under impact, I've never seen it actually pull off the body panels...

If anyone's having issues with the paint doing that, I'd file suit against Scion ASAP.

its more of a safe then sorry thought. that and when pulling you could easily scratch it with one of the ends of the badge.

hey dudes. i am about to buy an XA this weekend but i want to check ahead of time about removing all the exterior branding. is the aforementioned stuff referring to the plastic decal (raised) or some kind of sticker? has anybody stripped their car commpletely here? i want to know the safest way. i have the jimmy hands too, so i dont mind paying somebody else to do it, just not sure who.
