Default Replace Spark Plugs as suggested on Scheduled Maintenance?

Greetings,

My xA is about 4 years old and has about 42,000 miles. The Scheduled Maintenance Guide says that the spark plugs should get replaced after 30,000 miles because that change is "Required under the terms of the Emission Control Warranty."

I don't know what that means, but from what I gather not having them replaced could void any warrenty "for certain emission relatedfailures that result from manufacturer defects in materials andworkmanship or that cause your vehicle to exceed federal emissionstandards."

To replace or not replace?

Thanks.

Although you're probably out of warranty by now, definitely replace them (they're pretty darn cheap and you can do them yourself for about $20). Not sure if you monitor your fuel consumption, but you're probably getting worse efficiency now with the old plugs.
